AC Milan is reportedly looking to bolster their squad with yet another player from Real Madrid. After successfully securing the services of veteran midfielder Luka Modrić, the Italian giants are now reportedly setting their sights on Brahim Díaz, a player who previously enjoyed a successful loan spell at San Siro.
However, a potential move for Brahim faces a significant hurdle: his agent has reportedly already finalized a contract renewal with Real Madrid, extending his stay at the Bernabéu until 2027. Despite this, Milan appears keen on convincing the versatile attacking midfielder to return to Italy.
For his part, Brahim Díaz has consistently expressed his desire to remain at Real Madrid. Sources close to the player indicate he is very content with his role, even if it often involves coming off the bench as an impact substitute. He reportedly feels valued by coach Xabi Alonso, despite not yet accumulating significant minutes under the new manager. While appreciative of the interest from other clubs, Brahim is said to be unfazed by the speculation, holding a strong commitment to his current contract and expecting to sign a further extension.
This news will undoubtedly be disappointing for AC Milan, effectively diminishing any realistic hopes they had of securing a transfer for Brahim. Xabi Alonso reportedly sees Brahim as an important part of his plans for the season, even with his anticipated absence during the Africa Cup of Nations in December and January. The lengthy season ahead, coupled with the expected full recovery of Jude Bellingham, suggests ample opportunities for Brahim to contribute.
Real Madrid's stance on Brahim Díaz aligns with their broader strategy for the upcoming season: to assemble a squad brimming with top-tier talent. The club is focused on ensuring they have the depth and quality necessary to compete at the highest level across all competitions, aiming to secure more silverware and maintain their status as a dominant force in world football.
