A Premier League player that admired Cristiano Ronaldo during training

Cristiano Ronaldo is known to be a hard worker on the pitch and a serial winner. The commitment of the Portuguese is one of, if not the best, of any footballer in the world. Ronaldo is not only one of the greatest footballers of all time but one of the greatest athletes. While he is in the late stage of his career in recent years, he still gives 100% in training and in games. Many teammates and former teammates have said the same thing and they were amazed to see Ronaldo's commitment in person. Ronaldo has a new admirer who admits to being amazed by the Portuguese's attitude on the pitch.

One of his former teammates currently plays in the Premier League and played with Ronaldo when they were together at Juventus. This player is Dejan Kulusevski from Tottenham. Kulusevski played at Juventus from 2020 to 2022. The Swedish winger was on loan at Spurs in 2022/2023 and then permanently signed with the Premier League club last year. The Swedish player arrived at Juventus when Ronaldo was already there. The Portuguese striker joined in 2018 and left in 2021. In only a year together, Kulusevski was in awe of Ronaldo's presence.

In an interview with The Players' Tribune, Kulusevski talked about watching Ronaldo during training and seeing how focused he was compared to other players. Kulusevski said, "Cristiano, what a man. After training, everyone is on their phones, but he doesn't. You can see how hard he works, how much he wants it, even though he doesn't have anything left to prove. I was never the type to ask for favors from teammates, but I asked Cristiano to sign a shirt for me, and I gave it to my mother.”

Kulusevski feels at home playing for Spurs

Kulusevski spoke about the atmosphere in the Spurs camp. Kulusevski said, "I think a lot of our family atmosphere is down to Ange [Postecoglou]. Ange is brave, and he makes you brave. He doesn’t say a lot, but when he speaks, we can listen for hours."
