Today we saw a emotional game between Barcelona and Villarreal in the ‘Ceramic Stadium’. The game had ups and downs, ‘Barça’ began winning the game, then ‘The yellow submarine’ made three consecutives goals and the match turn around and finally Barcelona made two goals more and the match ended 4-3.

The main protagonist of the match was Lamine Yamal, the 16 years old boy who was trained in ‘La Masia’. The spanish player was chocen as the man of the match. He assisted Gavi's first goal and apart from that he contributed a lot to the team's game.

Xavi spoke at a press conference about Sergi Roberto, Eric García, Frenkie De Jong and of course about Yamal, the player who took all eyes today. He highlighted by his passes, his dribbling, his speed and his inteligent way to play in one of the best clubs in the world, is not easy to play at Barcelona, there is a lot of pressure.

The coach was not very happy with the way the game happened. “It was crazy because of our fault. We had the game under control. They had 10 minutes. At 0-2 up we gave away too much. They drew level because of our mistakes. In the middle of the game we went 3-2 down from a counter and from then on, we played well. The result isn’t big enough, we weren’t efficient enough to finish off the game”.

Xavi's words about Yamal

Xavi highlighted the good of Yamal and said “The expectations are high for him, because he shows it. He’s currently a starter because he is able to make the difference. He gets his decisions correct. Today he got two or three assists. His age surprises me. At just 16, he always makes the right decision and decision-making is the most difficult thing in football”, according to AS.
