Why the Liverpool vs Arsenal shows the decline of Salah, who was compared to Lionel Messi
Mohamed Salah is not going through a good time at the Reds.
Mohamed Salah has been one of the most in-form strikers in the entire Premier League for at least 4 years, in which he has been Liverpool's top scorer in those seasons. Now, he is not at his best.
This season he is not only low on goals and assists in all seasons, but he is also much less influential and involved during games. He should be the star of the team, but he and Liverpool are going through a difficult phase.

During the game against the Gunners, Salah did not play well, and Liverpool fans are starting to feel fed up about him. Years ago, in an interview, Salah was asked how he felt about comparisons with Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, and although he struggled to answer, he finally came clean.
The striker wanted to start by being politically correct, with this sentence: 'Each of them has been at the top level for 10 or 11 years. Their performance level is stable', however, from there he answered the initial question.
What were Salah's words:
A few years ago, the Egyptian said the following: 'I need to maintain my performance levels high for many seasons. I hope I can do that. They are great players and hopefully I become happy with these comparisons. Zidane, Ronaldo and Totti are the ones I loved the most when I was young. I loved watching them so much'.
