Years go by and Lionel Messi remains the most important footballer, at least in terms of popularity. Last night, Lionel Messi shone again with Argentina, because, in a crucial match against Peru, he scored two goals and gave the Argentina national team three points.

Lionel Messi did not receive good news from Inter Miami, as David Beckham's team did not qualify for the Major League Soccer playoffs, therefore, the season was over for them. Lionel Messi will not play an official match with Inter Miami until 2024.

Given this, rumors began to arise about Messi leaving, either to FC Barcelona or to Saudi Arabia, who were very interested in signing him. Barcelona fans had been excited about his possible return, however, the rumors did not last long, since Lionel Messi settled the rumors with his words.

These were the words of Lionel Messi after beating Peru with two of his goals: “Now I will train, I will play the game we have left now and I will try to be as good as possible for November if I can be there again. Then, enjoy your vacation in Argentina. It is the first time that I am going to have many more days in December, during the holidays with peace of mind and with my people. In January I will do preseason again, start from scratch and prepare as best as possible as always.”
