Pedro Rodríguez, currently in La Lazio, has expressed his desire to return to FC Barcelona, especially if he receives a call from Xavi Hernández, current coach of the Catalan team. Although he acknowledges that the possibility seems difficult due to his age (36 years old), Pedro has made it clear that he would seriously consider a return to Barça.

"If Xavi calls me, I take a quick flight and before he hangs up I'm here. But it's difficult. I've spoken in recent years with a lot of people, with Xavi, with Laporta... I've tried to come back in one way or another, but It's very complicated," said Pedro in an interview for 'Betevé'.

The forward, who began his career at Barcelona and spent several successful years at the club, believes that it would be the perfect ending to his career to be able to retire at Barça. Although he acknowledges that the possibility seems distant, Pedro does not completely rule out the idea and states that he would love to see it become a reality.

Pedro also commented on Barcelona's current situation and praised the team's young talents, highlighting the presence of players like Lamine, Gavi, Pedri and Araujo. He considers that the team has a solid backbone for the coming years and highlights the quality of the world-class players, such as Lewandowski and Raphinha. Although he recognizes that he often compares himself with previous times, Pedro sees the current Barcelona in good shape and with great potential.

MLS is looking for Robert Lewandowski

The first division of North America will try to bring the FC Barcelona striker into its ranks for the 2024 campaign, as reported by Nico Bravo, journalist from TUDN USA, through his 'X' account. The message he posted states: “Many MLS teams will be looking to add a high-profile forward as a Designated Player during the offseason.”
