The euphoria over Lionel Messi's Ballon d'Or is still present in all parts of the world. Undoubtedly, Messi's great season with Inter Miami has surprised many because much was said about the Argentine's future in MLS. Despite the fact that Miami did not qualify for the playoffs, the player was decisive in acquiring relevant achievements and showed it at every moment on the field

Undoubtedly, as seen in David Beckham's documentary, the goal of the former England player was always to replicate what Florentino Perez did at Real Madrid and that was to bring the best players. It is worth mentioning that Messi's arrival in the United States was most likely a great individual effort by Messi to make this possible.

After not renewing with PSG, the team had an opportunity to confirm the arrival of the former Barcelona player at the DRV PNK Stadium this summer. That being the case, the Argentinian made history and left Europe after years and years of career that began in Spain a few years ago. In light of this, many have been reminiscing about their time at FC Barcelona

One of the controversies surrounding Lionel Messi is how much he deserved the 2010 Ballon d'Or. In that year, the nominees were Lionel Messi, Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta, all teammates. For many, the great deserving of that award were Xavi and Iniesta who had just won the World Cup with Spain. However, in the end, the prize went to Messi

He deserved it

After the controversy, many claimed that Lionel Messi did not deserve such an award. Nevertheless, years later, just recently,  Xavi Hernandez has come to the defense of Lionel Messi and these were his words
