It is practically a fact that Lionel Messi will win his eighth Ballon d'Or in history. Different sources have begun to confirm this feat, including journalist Fabrizio Romano himself, who stated that the Argentine star will be the awarded player next Monday in Paris, leaving behind Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland, two players who have also had an impressive season.

On the other hand, Cristiano Ronaldo has been having trouble in Saudi Arabia, where last Tuesday he managed to score a double so that his team won a dramatic 4-3 victory against Al Duhail. During the post-match press conference, the Portuguese once again demonstrated his high confidence: "It would be a lie to say that I am not happy scoring goals and playing well. But Cristiano is not like everyone else. I am different from the others, that is why I continue playing and doing things well", he said in MARCA.

The truth is that Cristiano is not giving importance to Messi's new Ballon d'Or, who will now have three more than 'CR7' himself. So much so that on this Wednesday, Cristiano could be seen relaxing drinking what appears to be coconut juice with his family, lying on a lounge chair in his home in the sunshine. After what was a glorious night with Al Nassr, the Portuguese took advantage of his free time to rest.

Cristiano about the team and his personal moment

"I don't care about the records. What I think is enjoying the moment, our team is getting better and better. Our coach and the technical team have helped us a lot to put Al Nassr's team at the top. I'm having fun. I think that's the key word in what I've been doing", mentioned the 38-year-old striker in a press conference, who currently fights side by side with Mbappé and Haaland in terms of annual records.
