Mbappe is now in the headline for another reason. He has purposefully obscured Budweiser's name in his man of the match photos to avoid endorsing alcohol at the World Cup. According to L'Equipe, Mbappe, who has won the match trophy twice already this tournament, does not want to be affiliated with Budweiser, the World Cup's primary sponsor.

Every time Mbappe has posed with the trophy, which is presented by a renowned beer business after each game, he has purposefully obscured the brand. The Frenchman complies with his image rights policy not to promote alcoholic beverages, gambling on sports, and bad food. It is claimed that Mbappe does not want to harm his reputation by endorsing an alcoholic beverage like Budweiser because he has become a role model for many French children.
