It is well known that Cristiano Ronaldo is kinda the new King Midas of the 21st Century. Besides having one of the most expensive contracts for an athlete, CR7 has a great sense for entrepreneurship, having several businesses that grant him a great fortune. According to Forbes, just in 2022, Cristiano Ronaldo accumulated a wealth of about $131,481,465 million dollars from his business earnings.

But Cristiano Ronaldo knows his cards well and has discovered the great potential of social media for advertising. Instagram is famous for being the new workplace for thousands of influencers and celebrities, working along with brands and companies that wish to advertise their products with the great range their word has throughout the millions of followers they have.

Kylie Jenner, youngest daughter of the Jenners, was the queen of Instagram last year. With a single post on her feed or stories, Jenner would be paid about $1,817,223 mdlls. Kylie was the most paid celebrity on social media until this year as Cristiano Ronaldo has taken her position, now Cristiano Ronaldo earns $2,244,805mdlls for each post on IG, according to Hopper HQ.

With 597 million followers that Ronaldo has on his Instagram account, the Al-Nassr striker is now the king of advertisement on social media. While his wife, Georgina Rodríguez, the famous Spanish influencer only makes 60 thousand euros per post on IG. Ronaldo has become one of the most paid football players, one of the athletes that earns more outside the field, and now, the most paid celebrity/athletes in social media.

Crisitiano Ronaldo is not the only player that has entered the social media business. CR7 is the first celebrity at the top of the list with $2.2 million dollars x post, Kylie Jenner is still in second place with 1.7 million euros and Lionel Messi is in third place with $1,496,537mdlls earned by each post on IG.

We have to go down to the 14th place of the list to find another well paid athlete: Virat Kholi, indian cricket player ($1.5 mdlls x post); Al-Hilal’s Brazilian striker, Neymar Jr., is in the 18th position with $9,1 mdlls; Lebron James on the 24th pole with $6.3 mllds with each post and finally, David Beckham on the 29th position with $3.8 million dollars paid.
