Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi continue to be great exponents of the sport, despite leaving Europe this year. The players have significantly positioned themselves among the most prominent in the world and it is no secret that both are still sought after by large brands and companies to sell with their recognized image, and millions of fans around the world. Now, an unexpected approach towards the Portuguese striker is revealed.

According to Sportskeeda and Xero News, WWE is interested in “signing” Cristiano Ronaldo for an event to be held in Saudi Arabia called WWE Crown Jewel. The Portuguese striker has been one of the great celebrities who have recently arrived in Arab territory, and the most famous wrestling company is aware that the player attracts masses for events in that nation. Therefore, there is a specific interest in signing it only for said event.

WWE continues to rise in the US market. Now, with its most recent agreement with the UFC, to create a company called TKO, the WWE is greatly positioned as the new sensation in the sports entertainment branch. In fact, in recent weeks, figures like John Cena and The Rock have returned to the company for a short time, but to hold events like Crown Jewel, where it would be interesting to have Cristiano Ronaldo.

How much would WWE pay CR7?

WWE is characterized by bringing celebrities and putting them in extreme situations or in rivalries with famous wrestlers from the company. Snooki, Snoop Dogg, Stephan Amell or even Floyd Mayweather have been celebrities who have already competed in WWE. In addition to Logan Paul, the influencer and boxer, who is an active fighter in the company after signing a contract a couple of years ago. According to AS USA, Logan Paul earned almost $5 million for fighting at Wrestlemania 39 with wrestler Seth Rollins. For a figure like Ronaldo, a similar or even higher amount would be expected in Saudi Arabia. Negotiations are currently underway.
