Mbappe made headlines by embracing Neymar after his strike against Lorient. The Frenchman celebrated the Brazilian's goal on Sunday. Have Mbappe and Neymar made peace? All signs point to yes after the Frenchman didn't hold back in celebrating with the Brazilian after the latter scored against Lorient.

Neymar fired home after a great assist from PSG's young striker Hugo Ekitike, and the whole team celebrated the goal. However, there was one gesture that didn't go unnoticed. It's one that Mbappe is at the heart of. The Frenchman celebrated the Brazilian's goal in a very effusive and affectionate way, giving him a big hug.

It looks like the two have buried the hatchet and are trying to be friends again, something they were in the past before their relationship deteriorated over the last few years. During his press conference on Saturday, coach Christoph Galtier said that his focus is on making sure the Brazilian is getting on very well with both Mbappe and Lionel Messi, as their relationship is key to PSG's future.

Much had been made of the spat over a penalty that resulted in Sergio Ramos having to mediate matters in the changing room, but these players are professionals who understand that the media have to read into everything they do in order to generate clickbait. Players either sort out their issues on the field or behind closed doors.

It is easier to manage perceptions when you're winning

Galtier would do well to keep his star trio away from the media reports about them, however, the manager cannot control what they do in their spare time. As long as the dynamic on the field comes first, it should not matter what hacks have to say about player relationships. It is always easier to manage perceptions, though, when the team is winning.
