Erling Haaland is always trending on the internet. Manchester City's Norwegian striker scored once again this weekend against Sheffield United in the Premier League and his reaction showing relief whilst a fan invaded the pitch to celebrate with him went viral on social media.
However, that important goal to give Manchester City the lead and their third win in 3 Premier League matches so far wasn't the only Haaland highlight of the weekend. He also appeared in an unexpected collab with Logan Paul and KSI, two of the most followed content creators online and co-founders of Prime, a hydration beverage that is making its way in the football world by announcing partnerships with the biggest teams in the sport and their well-known marketing moves.
Prime has gained recognition across football fans since last season, when Logan Paul and KSI's company announced they'd become the official hydration partner of Arsenal. KSI's pull was key to close the deal with Premier League runner-ups since the british internet star is an Arsenal fan and has collaborated with the ‘gunners' on several occasions.
After Arsenal, another impressive marketing move was announced by Logan Paul. They closed a deal with Spanish champions FC Barcelona to become their official hydration partner. Logan and KSI travelled to the FC Barcelona museum and officially revealed the news. In that video, Logan Paul mocked Arsenal ‘trash-talking’ them saying they don't have any Champions League titles, while Barcelona has 5. Lastly, Prime also became the official hydration partner of Bundesliga kings FC Bayern.
The Man City's no. 9 recorded a video for Prime's official channels in which he had a face-off challenge against the company's owners (including KSI and Logan Paul). However, being serious didn't seem as easy as scoring goals for Haaland, as he ‘broke character’ several times and the recording of the promotional video took a little bit more time as expected.
