The UEFA Champions League activity is still on with Real Madrid vs Union Berlin for their opening game in the most prestigious European tournament, Jude Bellingham scores the only goal and rescues Real Madrid first win in its UEFA’s Champions League debut.
Real Madrid is going all for it in the first match of the group stage against Union Berlin, which makes their first arrival at the UEFA Champions League tournament versus the team that has the most appearances in the European tournament.
Blancos XI clear dominance of the ball wasn’t enough to outstand Union Berlin as the German team defense was far more effective than Real Madrid’s attackers; nevertheless, Jude Bellingham scored the only goal right before the match ended in minute 94’. Everybody thought the matchup would tie but that’s how the Blancos like to play and win, dramatically.
Nevertheless, Union Berlin’s strong effort throughout the whole match was relentless and must be honored, as they gave Real Madrid one hell of a game, but at the end couldn't manage to keep the ball away from Jude Bellingham.
Clearly, Real Madrid needs their three key players (Cuortois, Militao and Vinicius Jr.) in order to stand out in this competition if they want to make it through the final stage of the UEFA Champions League. Vinicius Jr. is expected to return next Saturday in the Spaniard Derbi vs Atletico Madrid for the sixth week of La Liga’s tournament.
Real Madrid’s next UEFA appointment is scheduled Tuesday October 3rd vs the current A Series Champion, Napoli.
