Portugal beat Luxembourg in a match where they were vastly superior and one of the players who stood out was AC Milan star Rafael Leao. Although the Portuguese did not have an impact on the scoreboard, the attacker was key with two assists in the Portuguese team's 9-0 win over Luxembourg heading to EURO 2024.

Rafael Leao is in great form and for many, he can be Portugal's big star once Cristiano Ronaldo is no longer with the team. CR7 has been a legend with the club, however, he could not be for this match after being sanctioned with yellow cards in the last match against Slovakia.

Portugal's intensity throughout the match was to be admired. Roberto Martínez's men have maintained the pace despite the defeat. In addition to Leao, Bruno Fernandes and Goncalo Ramos were key to this match in which Portugal had no complications to take the victory and be close to securing their qualification for EURO 2024.

Will Cristiano Ronaldo play EURO 2024?

Cristiano Ronaldo has set his goal of reaching EURO 2024, as he has commented in interviews with Portuguese media. The reality is that the great event is close and Cristiano Ronaldo continues at an important level despite being in Saudi Arabia. However, we will have to see the player's ownership taking into account prospects like Ramos or Leao who will arrive in a great way.
