The winter transfer market is approaching, and many clubs are already beginning to analyze profiles that they need and would help greatly to reinforce lines that they need so much. One of them is precisely Klopp's Liverpool, who is interested in a 40 million star, according to TALK, but they will have competition.

French midfielder Manu Kone could be the center of attention for Liverpool and Tottenham in the January transfer window, according to reports from Rudy Galetti. Although the 22-year-old was unable to finalize his move this summer, his departure from Borussia Mönchengladbach could materialize next month for a figure close to €40 million.

Liverpool have expressed previous interest in Kone, who attracted the attention of a number of Premier League clubs over the summer. Despite an injury that complicated his possible transfer, Jurgen Klopp's team could reconsider the Bundesliga midfielder's option. Although Liverpool signed Ryan Gravenberch in place of Kone in the summer, interest in the talented Frenchman remains, although Klopp also has other priorities in mind.

Tottenham is the one that needs Kone the most

Tottenham, for their part, could have a more urgent need to strengthen their midfield before January. With the temporary absences of Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr, plus uncertainty over Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg's future, coach Ange Postecoglou could consider Kone a valuable addition to his long-term plans.
