The 2 seasons that Lionel Messi spent at Paris Saint Germain were not as expected. In the first of them it was directed by Mauricio Pochettino and in the second by Christophe Galtier. Although he won the French League with both of them, with neither of them he could get past the round of 16 of the Champions League, the great obsession of the French team. Both disappointments on the international level ejected the two coaches. Today the Argentine seeks to get Chelsea back on track, while the Frenchman is in Al-Duhail.

Away from elite football (at least for the moment), the French coach was seen as someone who did not create the best work environment so that Messi could develop in the best way. In France, the treatment towards the captain of the Argentine National Team ended up being hostile, especially from the press and from the most extreme bias.

Already outside of PSG, the man from Rosario showed his discontent with his time in Ligue 1. For example, on Olga TV he highlighted that he was the only one of the 26 world champions who did not receive a tribute from the club where he was playing. Today Leo Messi lives a different reality at Inter Miami, where he was seen to be very happy, unlike what happened in the previous 2 seasons in Europe. Furthermore, the left-handed forward is having a great moment in the Argentine National Team, where he has just given Brazil its first defeat at home in the history of the South American Qualifiers.

PSG's karma

Since the departure of Lionel Messi, Paris Saint Germain cannot find its way and its game is not as expected. In addition, they also lost another figure like Neymar. In the Champions League, the French team has just rescued an agonizing draw at home against Newcastle, with a penalty goal from Mbappé. Apparently, the fact of having despised the former Barcelona was not the best idea, since, despite having a renowned coach like Luis Enrique, PSG will have to beat Borussia Dortmund on the last group date in Germany to not depend of other results.
