The situation of Kylian Mbappe at PSG is currently uncertain. The Frenchman has not renewed his contract with the team nor has he provided any updates on his situation. Similarly, the club has not made any official statements regarding this matter.

However, reports from French media, such as L'Equipe, suggest that Mbappe has bought himself some time by waiving his loyalty bonus. Nevertheless, this would only be an agreement between both parties and does not necessarily imply that Mbappe will renew his contract. In Spain, fans are hopeful that Kylian can still join Real Madrid.

According to SPORT, though, Real Madrid has grown tired of waiting for the player and is already considering other options in case Kylian Mbappe decides not to sign with the club in 2024.

Real Madrid's plan B

According to SPORT,  Real Madrid's backup target is Erling Haaland. The 23-year-old Norwegian forward is undoubtedly one of the best in the world, and the club is reportedly preparing an offer of nearly $190 million to secure his services. However, as reported by The Sun, Manchester City is not likely to make it easy for the Spanish club. The Citizens is said to be preparing a contract extension that would make Haaland the highest-paid player in the Premier League. As of now, nothing has been confirmed
