Lionel Messi has become one of the most important players for Inter Miami. The Argentine has led the team to a path of victory after a series of poor results that had put the Herons as one of the worst teams in the MLS. Coming from Paris Saint-Germain, Messi arrived in the United States to once again showcase his footballing prowess.

After playing 9 fixtures, scoring 11 goals, winning a Leagues Cup, and reaching the final of the US Open Cup, the Rosario star continues to accumulate triumphs in his career. At the moment, Lionel Messi is tied with Dani Alves (43 titles), and if he wins the US Open Cup, he would become the footballer with the most titles in history.

In his latest match with Inter, Messi scored again and is getting closer to an important record that could elevate him as a legendary figure for David Beckham's club.

The record Messi aims to surpass

According to official statistics, Lionel Messi is 19 goals away from becoming the top scorer in the history of Inter Miami. The record is currently held by his compatriot Gonzalo Higuaín with 29 goals. Given that Messi has already scored 11 goals in 9 matches, achieving this feat seems very possible. There's no doubt that the former Barcelona player continues to make history.
