Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has suggested that Cristiano Ronaldo should be released from his contract so he stops his ruthless attitude when he isn't called off to play. The 37-year-old is currently on contract with the Red Devils until the summer of 2023 and has been linked with a move away from the Old Trafford giants in recent months.

And Ferdinand believes that if Ronaldo wants to leave, United should let him go rather than stand in his way. Rio Ferdinand went onto social media to say that he believes Cristiano Ronaldo should be looking for a new destination away from Manchester and he said that he thinks it would be a good move for all parties involved.
