Real Madrid has overcome 2-1 against Real Sociedad in a pretty tight up matchup at Santiago Bernabeu’s Stadium. The Blancos team has managed to take away three more points and has surpassed Barcelona as the top leader of the standing in La Liga’s tournament.

Real Sociedad showed fierceness in the first half of the game, with a great goal scored by Ander Berrenetxea (5’)  with an assist by the Japanese star, Takefushima Kudo. Kudo himself made a second goal within minutes ahead of the first point but was ruled as offside even though he made the shot outside the goal area, but apparently the ball touched one of his teammates.

The second half was fully dominated by the Merengues team with a goal scored by Federico Valverde (46’)  and helped by Jude Bellingham, who also was very close to make a third point by the end of the match but failed.

As the match was tied and Real Sociedad couldn’t find a way to control the ball and keep it away from Real Madrid´s attack, the second goal came at the minute 60’ with a great hat-trick made by Joselu and scoring his second goal of the season.

What’s next for Real Madrid?

Real Madrid successfully linked a fifth victory and his undefeated streak continues to go on. With the three points obtained today over Real Sociedad’s win, the Merengues have surpassed Barcelona on the standings and placed themselves as the top leaders of the Spaniard tournament.

Real Madrid will make its debut at the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday 19th against Union Berlin; on Sunday 24th will play the Spaniard Derbi vs Atletico Madrid where Vinicius Jr. is expected to return to the pitch, and Wednesday 27th will be facing U.D. Las Palmas.
