The latest news is that Kylian Mbappe wants to leave PSG because he feels betrayed. Just back in May he renewed because PSG told him he'll be the highest paid footballer in the world, on top of it, they promised him a series of things that they have not fulfilled.
The first promise was that he would become the undisputed sports leader of the project, that is what Mbappe wanted all along. And that implied the departure of Neymar from the team, just as Mbappe wanted.

However, to the surprise of Mbappe, Ney automatically activated a clause in his contract (extended in 2021 when PSG thought that Mbappé would not continue) by which his bond with PSG was extended for another year until 2027
PSG was not able to fire Neymar despite the fact that he offered him the greats of Europe, mainly the Premier, during the summer, and Mbappe could not forgive him for that, because they had promised him something else.

It is not yet known what will happen, but due to the betrayals, the French star has decided to leave to go to a team where he is the undisputed reference instead of one more in a trio of cracks where his hierarchy is diluted.
