Paris Saint Germain had managed to put together a dream team after having brought together three world stars such as Neymar Júnior, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappé. A trident that allowed the French club to dream of winning the Champions League and very important titles during these last two seasons. However, the results were not as expected and today, both Messi and Neymar have chosen different paths with PSG.

The departures of the Argentine and the Brazilian have had a very strong impact on the French team, both economically and globally. On their social networks, PSG lost a considerable number of followers, as well as a lower percentage of tickets sold. Sponsorships have also been reduced and all this translates into a monstrous amount of millions that the Paris team has lost in recent months.

According to a report from L'Equipe, they have managed to show the balance that the club has left in recent times and clearly, it is not in favor. PSG lost between 10 and 15 million followers on social networks since 'Ney' and 'Leo' left. Furthermore, the Parc des Princes went from having practically no tickets available for sale, to having several empty places in the stands. On the other hand, companies such as crypto.com, Aspetar, Ooredoo and Qatar Airways doubt that they will continue to be linked to PSG. As of October 18, there is still a gap of 8.5 million euros to be resolved with the departure of Messi and Neymar.

Kylian Mbappé saves PSG

According to L'Equipe, the figure of Kylian Mbappé is the only one who helps the club try to get out of this very complicated situation financially speaking. Between Neymar and Messi, PSG has avoided paying 85 million euros in salaries per season, but the reality is that the loss of these two world stars has meant a very hard blow for the institution, which is praying that Mbappé will not be released in June 2024.
