PSG still have three signings to make in the market: a defender (possibly Skriniar), a midfielder (Fabian Ruiz) and a striker who could be Rashford. According to information from L'Équipe, the Parisian side has a strong interest in the Manchester United attacker, who finishes his contract in 2023 and has a favorable contractual situation for negotiations.

PSG's interest in Rashford goes back a long way. Just a year ago, in the middle of the hot days with the possible departure of Mbappé to Real Madrid, the reigning Ligue 1 champions inquired about the striker's situation in the face of a possible sale of their star that ultimately did not happen.

Luis Campos, a master of negotiations, has offered him an important role in the club's new project, as well as the possibility of playing in the Champions League, a competition he will not play with Manchester United.

On Thursday, Christophe Galtier, PSG coach, acknowledged at a press conference that they wanted to sign a striker and that he was in constant contact with Luis Campos to study various leads. Although the Portuguese wanted Lewandowski at first, cut short by his desire to play for Barcelona, the alternative, even more so after selling Kalimendo for 25 million to Rennes, is Rashford. The England international is still dreaming of the World Cup, although he has not entered the last call-ups of the last finalist of the European Championship.

Other PSG targets

In addition to Rashford, PSG is still working to strengthen both in the middle and in defense. After the cooling of negotiations with Inter for Skriniar, the Parisian side is interested in Simakan, a 22-year-old defender from Leipzig. And, in between, the deal with Napoli for Fabian Ruiz is expected to materialize in the coming days. A busy end to the transfer window is on the horizon in Paris.
