One of the rivalries that stole the attention of world soccer a few years ago was the one between coaches Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho, especially during their time with Barcelona and Real Madrid in the Spanish League, where they were part of a dispute to prove who was the best coach in the world and even generated the term "the special one" by the Portuguese.

After the two left the Spanish League, this rivalry became very pleasant because although they met again in the English league when Guardiola faced Manchester City against Mourinho's Manchester United, there was no longer a cross of statements as they did in Spain, but in the last hours this fight was reignited by a harsh statement by the Portuguese coach who is now part of the Italian Roma.

Guardiola has received much criticism in recent years for the large amounts of money he has moved in recent tournaments to make big signings for Manchester City in funds that come from the Qatari oil company that owns the team. This provoked the fury of Mourinho who instead does not have the same resources to reinforce the team from the capital of Italy.

Mourinho's anger

The words of Jose Mourinho were given in a press conference where he pointed to the Spanish coach and as usual his statements gave something to talk about: "I'm not jealous, but Manchester City paid 80 million for Kalvin Phillips and in January he's leaving. And Pep Guardiola will have someone else. Our reality in Rome is different. I say it sincerely, if we get a defender in the January market, I'm already happy."
