Dani Alves is going through one of the most difficult moments for any athlete. The player has won everything in his career, in fact he has been one of the players with the most titles in history. However, a controversy at a party in Barcelona seems to end up costing him much more than his career. In December of last year, the player was accused of sexual abuse of a girl and now, according to Relevo and more media from Spain, they assure that the player will have 9 years in prison.

In its indictment, presented this Thursday before the Barcelona Court, the public ministry maintains that the Brazilian soccer player sexually assaulted the young woman, 21 years old, using violence to do so, until causing her a feeling of "anguish and terror" that prevented him from reacting. As accessory penalties, the Prosecutor's Office requests that the Barcelona Court impose ten years of supervised release on Alves, once he completes the eventual prison sentence, and that he be prohibited from approaching less than a thousand meters from the victim or communicating with her during ten years.

Before the start of the trial, Dani Alves has the possibility of closing a conformity agreement, pleading guilty and trying to reach an agreement to significantly reduce the prison sentence. It is highly probable that the player will be sentenced to 9 years in Barcelona prison.

How much will Dani Alves have to pay?

The Public Prosecutor's Office also requests compensation of 150,000 euros for the victim and supervised release for a decade. The Barcelona Court has already ratified on two occasions the imprisonment of the former FC Barcelona footballer who has tried to change his version of what happened on several occasions. After the indictment from the Prosecutor's Office, it is up to the private prosecution and then to the Brazilian's defense.
