Not only Cristiano Ronaldo! All the players Erik ten Tag wants out of Manchester United

The Portuguese legend is not the only one that could leave the Red Devils

The Portuguese legend is not the only one that could leave the Red Devils

Recently we saw how the Dutch manager made a turning point decision at Manchester United: Benching Cristiano Ronaldo. Of course, this is still a controversial call but Erik ten Tag has so far been right. Without him on the starting line-up, Manchester United has won four games in a row in the Premier League. With him, on the pitch, they lost miserably against Christian Eriksen's former club, Brentford. The score? A smashing 4-0.

Nevertheless, there are other players that used to be on the starting eleven with other coaches and now they are nowhere to be seen. For example on the defensive line, we used to see Victor Lindelof and Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Now they were relegated to the bench by Argentinian center-back Lisandro Martínez and Portuguese right-back Diogo Dalot.

Without these players on the field, Manchester United has been functioning perfectly. Now, they will have to go up against their second mayor test: to win up against defending Premier League champions (and city rivals) Manchester City. The Red Devils pull off the job against Liverpool by winning 2-1, could they prove they are league contenders against Pep's team?

Where could the "banned" players end up?

Cristiano Ronaldo has been linked to multiple (if not all) of the Champions League clubs. He was even tempted by Inter Miami for an MLS move for 35 million per season. But some reports speculate that Chelsea's owner might turn the Portuguese into a Blue after the World Cup.

On the other hand, Victor Lindelof could reunite with José Mourinho at AS Roma since the Italian club is interested in bolstering its defense. And the English right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka would end up at West Ham, The Hammers tried to sign him last summer but they couldn't reach an agreement with Manchester United.
