A study by law firm GEJL Accident Attorneys reveals a list of the 50 male athletes who have earned the most while not playing, due to injuries or other absences. And the first footballer to appear, is none other than Neymar.

The current PSG player and former Barça player appears as the one who earns the most even while inactive with an income of 78.7 million euros. The second footballer on this list is the former Real Madrid attacker, now in the ranks of Los Angeles Football Club, Gareth Bale. The Welshman totals around 60 million euros.
