The NFL has agreed to a four year deal with his Premier League team!

The NFL has landed a new deal with Tottenham Hotspur to host two regular season games for each year until 2029-2030. A new four year extension between the most famous football league in the United States and a top A class Premier League team, a relationship that began in 2015, when the NFL started their international games.

Levy, Tottenham Hotspur CEO, declared that the relation between the NFL and the English club has been so important to put the team on the global map and make London develop as a Sport and Entertainment destination to the world.

The first NFL match that was played in London wasn´t hosted in the old White Hart Lane Stadium, but it was in the legendary Wembley Stadium, where the Jacksonville Jaguars faced the Buffalo Bills, where they won 34-31. Actually, the Jaguars is the only team to have a special agreement to play at Wembley.

Nevertheless, the newly renovated Tottenham Hotspur stadium will be the principal seed at London for the National Football League where they will play two regular season games until 2030.

What games will be played?

On october eight, the Buffalo Bills will face again the Jacksonville Jaguars; the Baltimore Ravens will play against Tennessee Titans on 15; and in Wembley Stadium, as part of the deal, the Jags will be facing the Atlanta Falcons on october first, but at Wembley Stadium.

It is well known that the economic drip an NFL game leaves behind is terrific for the host, and is one of the main reasons the Tottenham Hotspur made the deal with the football league. Also, in order to complete the deal, the NFL made a 10 million pounds investment on the new Spurs Stadium.

Tottenham will be granted by each matchup played at their stadium and also will be benefited with the consumption of food, beverages and merchandising; besides, hosting this type of games increases the potential selling of the name rights of the stadium.

As the NFL continues to grow its fan base across Europe, we are extremely proud to have official Home of the NFL status in the UK and look forward to seeing the excitement that game days bring to Tottenham for many years to come”, said Dany Levy, CEO of the Tottenham Hotspur.
