More bad news to Xavi's FC Barcelona, the possible replacements to Barça's losses

FC Barcelona lent 18 players to their national teams on this international break. Most of Xavi's newly arrived figures have been called to their national teams. Amongst them are Jules Kounde and Memphis Depay. Two players that Xavi may need for the upcoming games. 

Alarms are ringing in Barcelona as the dutch and french players were removed from their games due to injuries. Jules Kounde was removed from the game in the 21st minute as he displayed pain on his calf while Memhpis Depay was removed in the 50th minute and went straight to the dressing rooms for medical attention.

Pending evolution, the two player's injuries are a problem for Xavi's plans as he needs his team to be in optimal conditions and needs to have all of them available for Champions League and La Liga. Both of these competitions are essential to Xavi Hernandez, as Barcelona want to stop their trophy and glory droughts that have followed them, especially with Champions League. 

This competition is essential to FC Barcelona this season, as their manager stated repeatedly. X¡In Xavi's words ‘we should reach semi finals, at least.’ This is why the sensitive losses might be a big problem for Xavi. The Catalan club has managed to obtain only one win in the Champions league and their next encounter is no easy match. 

Xavi's upcoming matches and his alternatives

The upcoming matches against Mallorca, Inter Milan, Celta and Real Madrid are amongst the most important of the season. Kounde could be replaced by Araujo and Christensen, but none of the two have displayed the frenchman's level. Memphis Depay however is overshadowed by Lewandowski and even Ansu Fati or Ferran Torres go before him.
