Lionel Messi starts from the bench in the match with Inter Miami, which faces the New York Red Bulls in a certainly difficult match for those from Florida. Gerardo Martino announced before the match that the Argentine needed rest after having almost 10 games without rest since he arrived, where he won the Leagues Cup and helped qualify for the final of the US Open Cup.

However, while this is happening, the Argentine soccer player has placed himself on the bench in an important way along with Busquets, with an obvious desire to want to enter. The reality is that the game is getting complicated for Inter Miami who needs to add to get into the battle to access the MLS playoffs.

Lionel Messi has not yet officially debuted in the MLS and it is expected that against Red Bulls it will be the match that marks the beginning of the Argentine's stage in soccer in the United States. However, despite winning the Leagues Cup and reaching the US Open Cup final, there is pressure to reach the playoffs, with a team that is last in its conference.

Can Miami get a playoff berth?

With just 18 points and 22 goals in 22 games, Inter Miami is nothing like a team capable of earning a playoff spot throughout the MLS season. However, winning most of the remaining matches could see the club qualify. Something that with Lionel Messi, it is not because pointing it out as impossible.
