Karim Benzema is the new Golden Ball of the year 2022, and received the award for his former coach, Zinedine Zidane. The Frenchman was in first place above names like Vinicius or Mbappé.
Precisely the latter, Kylian Mbappé was present at the award gala, and had to watch as they handed the Ballon d'Or to Benzema instead of him.
