Maguire's Mother defends her son after critics, these were her words

After a historic match between Englands National Team versus Scotlands for the celebration of their first matchup 150 years ago, in 1882, the Three Lions outstanded the Scottish squad 3-1, and Englands fans did not hesitate to criticize the self inflicted goal Harry Maguire did to his team.

Zoe Maguire, Harry's mother, was present at Hampden Park Stadium to see her son play once again for Englands National Team, nevertheless, it would be a bittersweet day because of the great criticism and abuse her son Harry received on that day after the match was won 3-1.

“As a mother, seeing the amount of negative comments and insults that my son received from some fans and commenters, is disgraceful and unacceptable for any person, and also for someone who works by representing a club and a nation.”, Zoe Maguire expressed on her social media.

“Harry has a huge heart and I'm glad he stays strong and can take it when others couldn't, but I wouldn't wish this abuse on anyone”, Maguire´s mother added. Even though the England defender said he had handled this type of treatment before and it does not affect him, and by the other hand, the pressure on him takes it off from his teammates, so they can play better.

Maguire hasn't been the only one…

During the FIFA International Break, many other players from around the world haven't had their best time with their National Team. 

Richarlison, for example, whose arrival to the Tottenham Hotspur hasn't been the greatest, he also had a bad moment in Canarinha´s last match against Perus National Team, where he got out of the pitch and broke down while sitting on the bench.

Alexis Vega, Mexico’s National Team striker, is another player that is having trouble on the FIFA dates. Last games against Australia and Uzbekistan, Vega hasn't seen much action due to his performance failure. He also has been seen crying on the bench because of his lack of protagonism and relevance in Mexico´s team.
