Luka Modric's anger when asked if he would go to play with Cristiano in Arabia

However, it was Modric himself who denied this situation and revealed where he wants to play next season.

"Will we play together again? I do not know what else to say. Everyone asks me that, I think I'm getting bored with the same answers. You know what my wish is, I hope it comes true and it is to stay at Real Madrid", Modric said at a press conference prior to the duel for the Qualifying rounds for Euro 2024 where he will face Wales.

Modric on a possible retirement

At 37, it is true that it is impossible not to think about Luka's retirement, however he made it clear: “Retire from Madrid and from the national team at the same time? That would be ideal, but we'll see what happens. I love football very much, I enjoy it and that is one of the reasons why I put up with so much.
