Liverpool FC is not calm after the tense situation that its star player, Mohamed Salah, experienced in the most recent match with his country's team. Salah has been clear and has always been available to represent Egypt in the best possible way. However, in the previous match, a fan of the rival team came close to attacking him. Something that really did not sit well with the player, nor with his club. However, in Egypt they are already clarifying the situation.

Liverpool star Salah was lucky to escape unharmed after a group of intruders entered the pitch during Egypt's World Cup qualifier against Sierra Leone on Sunday. The Pharaohs won the match 2-0 thanks to Trezeguet's double. Security at the stadium did not allow the invaders to approach the superstar and Salah was later escorted off the field by the army.

Speaking to The Athletic, Egypt national team coach Mohamed Ghoraba said: "The story that it was an assault is not true at all. Here, people are very friendly and they support Liverpool or Arsenal. For them, Mohamed Salah and Mohamed Elneny are icons, so their presence in the country is something they want to happen again. For them, that is the only chance to see Salah play on their home ground, so it is normal like any fan that enter the field."

Salah shone with Egypt

After the incident, the match was able to resume for the final minutes and the Egyptian team took the three points. Mohamed Salah positioned himself in an important way as one of the footballers of the moment and proof of this were his performances with his country's team. Mohamed Salah is in a strong position and wants to help his country go to another World Cup, after missing the 2022 World Cup where they fell in the playoffs.
