Liverpool has been heavily criticised by Jamie Carragher for their transfer business in recent years. The Reds have been struggling this season and Carragher believes that their lack of investment in a key part of the team is now starting to show. Carragher went on to say that Liverpool's decisions in the transfer market haven't functioned and that they are now starting to pay the price.

The Liverpool legend has been critical of the club's recent transfer activity. The Reds have made some big-money signings in the past summer, but Carragher believes they have failed to address key areas of weakness. Carragher also believes that Liverpool has been missing reinforcements in the midfield.

He points to the signings of players are good players but he says that the club needs to focus on signing players who play in the midfield and who will improve the team. Also, he pointed out that this is one of the reasons Liverpool is underperforming this season. Also, he noted the last Premier League game against Nottingham Forest as evidence of this.

Finally, he urged the board to reconsider their decisions. He also highlighted that they miss two key transfers on midfield, like Jude Bellingham (that has been recently linked to an Anfield move) and Tchouaméni who ended up at Real Madrid.

Carragher's criticism of Liverpool's recent transfer market moves is well-founded. The club has made some poor decisions in the past, and it looks like they are continuing that trend. ''This season has proved that they should have gone into the market for just what we might call good players because at this moment the midfield is just not functioning, and when you have a problem defensively and going forward, the first place you look at is the midfield" he said during an interview with CBS.
