Lionel Messi is back in Miami after the FIFA International Break from September. The Argentine team debuted in World Cup qualifiers and stands second in the group, only below Brazil. Lionel Scaloni's team faced Ecuador and Bolivia and are already thinking about defending their title in the next edition of the World Cup to be played in Mexico, the United States and Canada. It should be noted that Messi only played one of the two corresponding matches.

Against Bolivia in La Paz, the coach decided to leave him on the bench after having physical discomfort before traveling to the Andean country. However, the 10 had a good performance against Ecuador and even scored the winning goal just a few minutes from the end.On the other hand, Inter Miami continues its goal of qualifying for the MLS playoffs. It is worth noting that Miami needs to reach the 8th or 9th position that guarantees them to play the wildcard round and thus look for a place that allows them to play the final phase of the competition.

Gerardo Martino's team has already lifted a Leagues Cup, which meant the club's first title and Lionel Messi's first in U.S. soccer. Similarly, the team has a pending US Open Cup final against the Houston Dynamo to be played on September 27.

With this said, if the former PSG wins this title, he could become the maximum winner of titles in the history of soccer which leaves a lot of hope among fans. Since the arrival of the former Barcelona player, The Herons had a positive winning streak, however, this streak came to an end last week when Miami fell to Atlanta United without Messi which complicates his path a bit.

However, the Fort Lauderdale team wants to make up ground against Toronto, which is currently the last place in the competition with 6 points below Inter Miami. Florida wants to take advantage on the Canadians team on his visit to the DRV PNK Stadium
