Robert Lewandowski's name has become synonymous with goal-scoring excellence in recent years. The Polish striker has consistently delivered standout performances at every club he's graced, and his journey is a testament to his remarkable talent and work ethic. One of the pivotal points in his career was his time at Borussia Dortmund, the club that thrust him into the limelight and attracted the attention of Europe's elite, including the mighty Real Madrid.

Nevertheless, in 2014, it was Bayern Munich that emerged victorious in the battle for his signature. During his tenure with the Bavarian giants, Lewandowski played an astonishing 337 matches, netting an incredible 318 goals, a record that few can even dream of surpassing. He also holds the distinction of being the top foreign goal-scorer in the history of the Bundesliga, a league renowned for its attacking prowess.

In his later years at Bayern Munich, Lewandowski achieved the coveted treble, lifting major trophies and etching his name in soccer history. Despite such remarkable success, the Polish decided to embrace a new challenge, leading him to the iconic FC Barcelona in 2022.

His numbers with the Catalan club have been nothing short of impressive. As of now, he has notched 35 goals in 50 matches, and it's worth noting that out of those 50 appearances, he has started in 49 a testament to his pivotal role as a goal-scoring force, much like the legendary Luis Suárez during his time at Barcelona.

Lewandowski's words on MLS

Interestingly, Lewandowski himself admitted that he once contemplated a move to Major League Soccer  mentioning that the idea crossed his mind before the COVID-19 pandemic. However, he ultimately chose a different path. He also shared that his experience at Barcelona, under the leadership of Xavi Hernandez, has made him feel more human compared to his previous roles, where he was often seen as a goal-scoring machine. And, notably, he didn't rule out the possibility of a future move to the same league where Lionel Messi currently plays.
