Barcelona is reportedly interested in signing Manchester United's Diogo Dalot. The 23-year-old right-back has only made 11 appearances for the Red Devils this season and has impressed so much under Erik ten Hag's regime to be on the Barcelona radar, according to multiple reports.

Dalot has just eight months left to run on his contract at Old Trafford and it is believed United would be willing to extend his contract for at least one more year. So the next winter transfer market, after the World Cup will probably define the future of the Portuguese right back. If he doesn't get a new deal, he could negotiate with any club he wants.

Would playing with Messi convince him to move from Old Trafford?

This might be just a theory but most of this generation's players are either team, Messi or Ronaldo. Imagine if Joan Laporta convinced Messi to return for the Last Dance in Spain and then just that as a negotiation tool to get new players to the Catalan team. Is it impossible? We believe not, and it's probably something Barcelona's president Joan Laporta is counting on.
