Cristiano Ronaldo has been on fire this season.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, even though they are 38 and 36 years old respectively, are still the two most popular players in the world. Haaland and Mbappé are the future and the present, however, Cristiano and Messi are the goats and that is why they are always compared for absolutely every detail. Now, it has not been the exception.

This week, Cristiano Ronaldo has been with Portugal for the UEFA qualifiers for EURO2024, while Messi has been with Argentina, however it has not gone well for them, as they lost against Uruguay 2-0. On the other hand, Cristiano and Portugal finished their participation in the competition this Sunday with a 2-0 victory against Luxembourg.

Cristiano Ronaldo shone with Portugal and showed the world that he still has reasons to be the best in the world. Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal managed to be the team that achieved the longest winning streak of the competition by stringing together 10 in a row, an aspect that left them with an ideal score in their group. In their area they were the team that scored the most goals in a single match (9-0 against Luxembourg) and thanks to this they also obtained the highest number of goals scored in a qualifying phase, with 36.

Cristiano's low blow to Messi:

Social media does not forgive, and now they place Cristiano Ronaldo as a better player than Messi only for these last few weeks, in which it has been evident that Cristiano is above Messi in terms of results obtained. At least with his national team, Ronaldo did not stop shining and Argentina lost against Uruguay.
