Jürgen Klopp declarations on Jude Bellingham, Liverpool and Real Madrid are his biggest suitors

Speaking ahead of the Manchester United and Liverpool’s match in Bangkok on the occasion of the two English clubs' tour of Thailand, Jürgen Klopp was in front of the media and did not miss the opportunity to talk about Jude Bellingham. The midfielder is only 19 years old, but he is already one of the biggest names on the transfer market and the Reds are on his list of suitors.

So when Klopp was asked about the lack of investment in midfield signings, Bellingham's name came up, and the Liverpool boss was blunt. "He's not on the market, so that's the first problem with that player. Well, that's the only problem with that player!" admitted the German, who is an admirer of the England international.

But the Reds coach is not off the mark. Bellingham, who is valued by Borussia Dortmund at more than 100 million euros, is not an option for this summer transfer window, but he could be an option for 2023. Even more so, after the Bundesliga side lost Erling Haaland just a few weeks ago.

That is why Dortmund are not considering selling Bellingham, who is under contract until 2025, and could wait longer to release their player, one of the most coveted midfielders in the world.

Real Madrid think of him as Luka Modric’s heir

Real Madrid is also on the track and could re-enter a race for his signature with Liverpool, as has happened recently with Tchouameni. In Madrid they see Bellingham as the possible heir to Luka Modric’s midfield. The race for the Englishman is going to be a tight one.
