Life has changed for Jovic since he landed in Florence. In just a few weeks of preseason, the striker has already scored more goals than he did in Real Madrid in the two and a half seasons he was at the club (5 against the 3 he scored in Madrid).

DAZN interviewed Jovic, who spoke about his first weeks as a Fiorentina player. He feels good and praises his new coach: "I needed a coach like this, who pushed me to work so hard. I hope to do great things with Vincenzo Italiano," said Jovic in what many have understood as a blow towards Ancelotti's method.

It is hard to believe that if Jovic has not succeeded at Real Madrid it was because of Ancelotti. In fact, it is not the first blow he has given to the Italian after leaving Real Madrid: "I was told that the coach is able to improve every player", he pointed out a few weeks ago.

He will play for Fiorentina for the next two years. Madrid opened the door to his departure in exchange for shedding his salary and keeping 50% of his rights for a future sale. Time will tell if Jovic is able to resurge in Italy and leave some money in the coffers of Real Madrid.

Why did Jovic end up in Fiorentina?

At another point in the interview he was asked about the reasons that led him to Fiorentina. "I chose Florence for several reasons. The most important were the ambition and the idea of attacking soccer. Because this is one of the few clubs in Italy that plays attacking football. And there have been countless Serbian players in this dressing room," he says. It seems that Jovic is very happy at Fiorentina, and everything indicates that he will fulfill the contract that binds him to the 'viola' club until 2024.
