The fate of Sergiño Dest at FC Barcelona seems more doubtful than ever, according to a report from the Spanish media SPORT. The current La Liga champions have the firm intention of making the young defender profitable in the summer transfer window of 2024, when his loan at PSV Eindhoven ends.

Sergiño Dest, born in Almere but trained in the ranks of Ajax Amsterdam, became famous in the Dutch club before signing for Barcelona in October 2020 in an operation valued at 21 million euros. Although he had an exciting debut season with Barcelona, his level dropped in the 2021/22 campaign. The Blaugrana decided to loan him to AC Milan with the idea of relaunching his career, but playing time was scarce in Italy, which led to his return to Barcelona with his rating declining.
