FC Barcelona is actively involved in the current transfer market. The Catalan club has had a decent start to the season but aims to continue on the right path. One of the names that has been recently linked with a departure from Barça, with only two days left in the transfer window, is Ansu Fati.

According to sources like Marca and Sport, it appears that Ansu Fati might not be in Xavi Hernandez's plans. As a result, the club is seeking a solution that would allow him to continue his career with more playing time. In recent hours, various media outlets have suggested that several Premier League teams have shown interest.

Fabrizio Romano has reported that Tottenham Hotspur was willing to bring in the player. However, according to SPORT,  Barcelona's sole condition for allowing the forward to leave is that he goes out on loan rather than being sold.

Nevertheless, it seems that another team is ahead in the race for Ansu Fati.

The team set to sign Ansu Fati

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Brighton & Hove Albion is negotiating with Joan Laporta's team to bring the 20-year-old footballer to England. Romano suggests that both the club and the player have already accepted Albion's loan offer, and manager Roberto De Zerbi played a pivotal role in the negotiations. As of now, nothing has been confirmed.
