Inter Miami emerged victorious from their most recent duel in the MLS. Gerardo Martino's club managed to beat Kansas City in a match where they could not count on the presence of Lionel Messi, but they have certainly placed themselves in an important way and thanks to a stellar performance by Campana they managed to beat their rivals.  The Ecuadorian striker was one of the players who managed to compensate for the absence of Lionel Messi in this match.

The other two stars of the squad were also available: the Spaniards Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets, who were no longer part of their country's national team. At the same time, the Argentines Farías, Tomás Avilés and Nicolás Stefanelli took advantage of the absences to get into the starting team.

This victory, the eighth in 26 appearances in the local tournament, places Inter Miami in second-to-last place in its Conference with 28 points, six points behind DC United, the last team currently in the playoff zone.

What did Gerardo Martino say?

"We'll look at [qualification] when it's appropriate," Martino said of the club's chances of earning a playoff spot. "But for now we have to keep getting results because we have got 10 points out of 12 and we are still far away. So we have to keep going."
