Historic draw for America against Real Madrid, a former Merengue player tied the match for America

On Tuesday night, América closed its series of friendly matches in the United States against top European teams with a bang, and now in San Francisco, as they faced Real Madrid, the reigning Champions League and La Liga champions in Spain and one of the most powerful teams in the world.
América managed to salvage a draw at the end of its tour of the United States with a memorable 2-2 draw against Real Madrid, in a match held at San Francisco's Oracle Park in front of a majestic crowd of just over 40,000 fans.

It was a total spectacle, from the first minutes both teams came out with everything they had and America did not waste the first chance that came their way. Madrid found the lead at 55' when Hazard scored from the penalty spot, after a foul by Mauricio Reyes on Lucas Vázquez.
Former Real Madrid player scored the equalizer for America
The equalizer came at 81' when Álvaro Fidalgo —a former youth player of Real Madrid, sold to America a year ago— scored from the penalty spot, after missing the first chance the kick was retaken because the goalkeeper was clearly out of line; he drew the foul himself on 79th minute of the match.
