The last soccer figure to pass away and humiliate several of the greatest soccer players in history was Edson do Nascimento, better known as Pelé. But not all the legends of this sport were on the playing field.

One of the greatest idols at AC Milan, who was not on the field, was the former president of the club, Silvio Berlusconi. Who was also former Prime Minister of Italy knew how to change the dynamics of the best-known sport in the world.

Berlusconi knew how to turn the rossonero team into one of the best in history. Together with him they managed to lift all possible titles: the Champions League after beating Liverpool in the 2006/7 season and winning the first Champions League from Cristiano Ronaldo in the semifinal, the Club World Cup against Boca Juniors 2-4, Serie A in repeatedly, the Italian Cup and the Italian Super Cup.

Berlusconi saved AC Milan from bankruptcy in 1986, taking the rossonero club to the top with several generations of coaches and players who marked the history of football, such as: Cafu, Ronaldinho, Pirlo, Gattuso, among others.

What happened to Silvio Berlusconi?

The former president of the Italian club passed away today, Monday June 12, at the age of 86 after several months under strict medical supervision. Berlusconi suffered from a severe case of chronic leukemia, for which he received repeated chemotherapy treatments. Who was world champion with Milan, was in a room at the San Raffaele hospital; located in the same city as the club to which he gave everything.
