And at the time, the purchase of the player was considered the most expensive made by Real Madrid in its history, an achievement for an institution that once had Los Galacticos, the best players on the planet such as Zidane, Beckham, and Roberto Carlos, among others. 

That is why the arrival of Eden Hazard and Madrid's new record for his purchase had everyone's expectations very high. After 3 seasons those expectations were extremely disappointed as the player's performance has not been anywhere near what he had with the Blues, partly due to his drop in play but also partly due to injuries.

According to the international press, Carlo Ancelotti is willing to give a new chance to the player for whom Real Madrid once paid more than 160 million dollars, but who has now been devalued to just over 12 million dollars, a small fortune that the Merengue team has not bothered to pay.
