If you may not know, there is a drama between two of the most important teams in Spain regarding one player: Antoine Griezmann. The French World Cup winner is debating what to do with his future because he hasn't been playing whole games during his second season at the Spanish capital's team.

Why? Just because Atlético de Madrid doesn't want to pay 40 million Euros to Barcelona. This is mainly because (among other legal mambo-jumbo) the deal signed between these two institutions says that if Antoine Griezmann plays more than the 50% of the matches he is available to play with Atlético, the team would have to pay 40 million to Laporta's squad.

Of course, even football teams are companies. And all of them, not only the players but the coaching staff, are just employees that are part of a big business. So, even if Diego 'Cholo' Simeone wanted to put Griezmann more time, the board wouldn't allow him to do so. Even when he has been questioned about this decision he has only replied to the press members that he is just another of Atlético de Madrid's employees.

A special occasion for Griezmann

Nevertheless, all of that drama didn't matter for the Derby against Real Madrid. Simeone took a bold choice and he decided to put Griezmann on the starting eleven against the reigning champions of Spain. In the end, this could mean Antoine could miss about the three next games. Why? Because he has only been subbed in for 30 minutes each game. If he played the whole game, we probably won't see him on the pitch anytime soon.
