Manchester City is looking for a new target in La Liga to reinforce the flanks, specifically the left wing. The name of the chosen one is Renan Lodi, who has a contract with Atletico Madrid until 2025, but his future seems to be far from the Spanish capital for this season, especially when 'Cholo' Simeone no longer has him as an undisputed player in his starting lineup, or at least so says the preseason.

In the last course, Renan Lodi was put to play 42 games for the red and white club: he started 19 of them and had the opportunity to score four goals while also giving away five assists. For this reason, he is one of the most outstanding players of the 'colchoneros'.

Manchester United already considering an option to replace Cristiano Ronaldo

In addition to being a great effective back, he joins the attack whenever he has the chance. And all this has been taken into account by Pep Guardiola to include him in his wish list, or so says 'The Telegraph'. The main obstacle could be his contract, but the interest in having him in his ranks exists.

Given the refusal of Marc Cucurella as a left-back option, Manchester City has been looking for an option for this place so it is already thinking about Lodi, says the aforementioned media that the 'citizen' would have a fixed place for him in the 2022-23.

The huge price Atletico slapped on Lodi

Atletico, according to 'The Telegraph', would have already set a starting price for Renan Lodi in case City decides to launch an offer for him. From 70 million they would be willing to send him to Manchester and get rid of one of the regular starters or spare parts of recurrent use.
